Eston Park, Visitor Centre

Client: Eston Park
Contract Value: £1 million

Rance Booth Smith Architects have recently produced a feasibility study for the design of a new community centre to form a focal point within the regeneration of a deprived area of the Tees Valley at Eston Park.

The park itself has a number of football and rugby pitches and the accommodation will enhance the use and facilities for the users.

The proposed scheme will become a demonstration project highlighting the benefits from low energy design and renewable technologies. The venue will provide year round indoor and outdoor amenities for the local community which will include:

  • Exhibition spaces
  • Activity spaces
  • Learning centre
  • Cafe
  • Outdoor performance areas and sports pitches
  • Children's indoor play
  • Rangers/wardens office
