Firth Hall Refurbishment, University of Sheffield

Client: University of Sheffield
Contract Value: £0.5m

Refurbishment of Edwardian, Grade II listed Firth Hall, within the heart of the University of Sheffield campus. The project improved the Hall's efficiency, flexibility and appearance.

“A large quantity of work has been carried out with minimal disruption to daily activities in Firth Court.” University of Sheffield

Located across the road from the Student Union, the Hall is used for concerts, exams, conferences, graduation dinners and weddings.

New acoustic walls were constructed, at the front and rear of the Hall, to improve the Hall’s acoustics and enable it to host music and choral recitals.

An Edwardian bay window at the front of the Hall was restored and it’s outdated ventilation and electrical systems were replaced, to increase energy efficiency and comfort within the Hall.
